I’m Nate Killick, a Devonport-based photographer in North West Tasmania. My work is built around one simple hope: to preserve what passes too quickly. Whether I’m photographing the Tasmanian coastline at last light or a family wrapped up in each other’s laughter, I’m always looking for the same thing — the honest, unrepeatable moment where connection becomes visible.

My photography is shaped by a life lived across places and seasons: from my birthplace of Western Australia to my years in Cambodia, and now home in Tasmania. I’ve worked in digital art and cryptoart, and I’ve explored image-making through AI tools — but I’ve come back to the lens with a dream. For me, photography has become a focal point for attention, patience, and the discipline to notice what is already there.

As a father, I understand how quickly childhood changes. That’s why my family photography in North West Tasmania is designed to feel natural and unforced. I photograph families the way you actually are: moving, talking, holding hands, settling into the small rituals that make your household yours. Sessions are relaxed and guided, with gentle direction and posing where it helps — but never at the expense of authenticity.

I work across Devonport and the North West Coast, creating outdoor family portraits in places that feel like home: beaches, bush tracks, open paddocks, backyards, and favourite local spots in and around Devonport, Ulverstone, Burnie, Latrobe, Penguin, Sheffield, and beyond. The goal is not “perfect posing,” but images with warmth and truth — photographs that still feel like you years from now.

My landscape work and family work share the same visual language: soft light, strong composition, and a quiet sense of story. I want every session to result in photographs that belong on your wall and in your family history.
